What students should know about university clearing before A-level results day from the Head of UK Student Recruitment at Liverpool Hope University
Thousands of students will be nervously opening their A-level results on Thursday as they discover whether or not they’ve achieved the grades needed to get into university. It’s a huge day for young people across Merseyside. Some will be celebrating confirmation of new beginnings while others may have to consider their options if their exam results aren’t what they expected.
You may not have applied to university but decide you want to go after receiving your results, or you could have applied but not received any offers, or any that you want to accept. Clearing is also an option for anyone who has changed their mind about the course they want to study or the university they want to attend whilst those who have achieved better grades than they were anticipating can use it if they want to go to a university with higher entry requirements.
