A 61-year-old man died in a blaze at his home in Carrickmacross in March 2016
A 19-year-old man is expected to appear in court charged in connection with the murder of a man in Carrickmacross three years ago.
Gerry Marron, 61, died in the blaze at his home at St Macartans Villas in Carrickmacross in the early hours of 21 March 2016. Gardaí later established the fire was started deliberately and the investigation into his death was upgraded to one of murder.He is being held at Carrickmacross Garda station for questioning and is expected to appear in court later today.
