Man killed and eleven others injured after a five-vehicle crash in Westmeath
The collision occurred on the M6.
A male driver of one of the cars was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. He was in his 60s. As for the other people involved, the four drivers and five passengers of the other cars were taken to the Midland Regional Hospitals in Mullingar and Tullamore.Another passenger sustained serious injuries and was taken by helicopter to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
