Melbourne is set to break the world record for most days spent in hard lockdown, ironically it is expected to come when the state reaches the 70 per cent single-dose vaccination target.
Currently, Melbourne is set to remain in lockdown until the end of October, meaning the Victorian capital will break the world record.

In a similar stance as the NSW premier, Mr Andrews said the focus had shifted from case reducing numbers to limiting large rises in cases which would “buy time to allow vaccinations to be undertaken”.
