IDEAS says Malaysians are entitled to know the outcome of the meetings held throughout the council's tenure.

The Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs said the CEP’s findings should have been made public from the start. “The CEP held meetings with various academics, NGOs and government officials throughout its tenure, and Malaysians are entitled to know the outcome of these meetings.” CEP member KS Jomo had also said that the report should not be made public as it contains sensitive information that could be abused.
