Heartfelt words poured in from devastated friends and family who said Clare Ritchie will be 'loved and missed always' after she was fatally injured in a collision in Bellshill on Friday.

A family friend said she had been walking home with her daughter before the tragedy. Patrick Prothero added: "Rest in peace Clare Ritchie, you will be loved and missed always. Thank you for blessing me with the most wonderful children and stepdaughter."
A Gofundme page set up in the wake of the tragedy has since raised £5,700. Organiser Pamela Burns said she started the fundraiser "to support the family in providing the funds to allow Clare to get the best send off and take the burden away from her young kids at this terribly sad time."She added: "My heart breaks for Clare and her family. Clare was an amazing mum. No one should be walking home and not make it to her home.
