Two men who issued a mayday call from a boat off the Sunshine Coast have been found floating in the water after an urgent search. 7NEWS

Multiple authorities were involved in the search, including water police and Rescue500 and Westpac rescue helicopters.The men were found in waters off Caloundra.

The duo, who were clad in life vests, were found floating in the water and, at times, clinging to each other.They have been taken to Caloundra Hospital for assessment by paramedics.
